Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of hCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests)... which triggers production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone... which trigger all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing! This week the baby is about the size of an appleseed!"

Our First Ultrasound!

On Friday, March 20th we had our first ultrasound! It was the most incredible and breath-taking experience we have ever had. Our doctor was so very pleased with how healthy the baby looks already and was surprised to see what a strong heartbeat the baby already has! Although we have been excited from the moment we found out that we were expecting, seeing our child for the first time made this whole experience so much more realistic for us! Nana and Puppa Blose bought us an adorable ultrasound frame that we immediately put our picture in as soon as we got home! What an awe inspiring reminder of God's gift to us! As we quickly approach our 8th week symptoms are quickly intensifying and I am loving every queazy moment!

After years of wishing and hoping and thinking and praying...

Garrett and I are excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby this fall!

On March 1, 2009 we found out that we had a miracle of our very own on the way!

We are so blessed and so very thankful for the opportunity to become parents.

As you can imagine, we are over the moon with excitement and our hearts are already filled with great anticipation and unbelievable love.

We are thrilled to share our "story" into parenthood with our family and friends as we begin this long awaited journey.
